Lisa Kerscher, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I work with individuals and couples of all ages who are navigating changes in their life circumstances. There are many moments of significance in our lives and finding our way can be isolating and scary at times. My experience in a variety of settings, my work with a varied clientele and my background in family dynamics and social work gives me a unique perspective. I believe we all get stuck and this does not mean we are broken, it simply means we are stuck. With a supportive environment and the right skills, we can get “unstuck” and continue to move forward with a fresh perspective and a renewed hope for our future.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, with a focus on adolescent development and family dynamics. I began working with adolescents and families through the Department of Human Services during school and continued in residential treatment following graduation working with families and adolescents through individual, family and group therapy. In 1998, I earned my Masters in Social Work and I attended the Family Therapy Training Center where I solidified my work with couples and families. Over the last 20 years, I have continued to work with couples, families and individuals in a variety of settings while also seeing private clients.
